- Apple terus berusaha mencari "kambing hitam" terhadap masalah penerimaan sinyal yang terdapat pada produk terbarunya iPhone 4. Setelah Samsung Omnia II dan Blackberry Bold 9700, kali ini sasaran tembaknya adalah Motorola Droid X.
Dalam artikel terbaru di situsnya, Apple menunjukkan bahwa Motorola Droid X juga mengalami masalah redaman sinyal seperti halnya yang dialami iPhone 4. Apple melansir video yang menunjukkan bahwa cara menggenggam Motorola Droid X dengan posisi tertentu juga menyebabkan penerimaan sinyal melemah dari 3 bar hingga 0 bar.
Sejak muncul keluhan terhadap penerimaan sinyal iPhone 4, Apple memang membuat halaman website khusus yang seolah-olah mengkambinghitamkan kepada perangkat lain. Pada artikel-artikel sebelumnya, Apple telah menampilkan bukti-bukti adanya masalah penerimaan sinyal pada perangkat smartphone lainnya.

Pada halaman tersebut Motorola memasang iklan yang menyebut Droid X hadir dengan antena ganda sehingga memastikan penerimaan sinyal akan selalu kuat.
Selain membela diri dengan alasan redaman, CEO Apple Steve Jobs sebelumnya mengatakan bahwa masalah penurunan kekuatan sinyal yang terdapat pada iPhone 4 karena adanya kesalahan software dalam menghitung kekuatan sinyal pada iPhone 4. Apple telah memperbaiki formulanya sehingga lebih akurat sesuai kekuatan sinyal sebenarnya yang diterima iPhone 4 seperti formula yang dipakai AT&T dengan update software iOs 4.01.
