Virus baru : `Zombie` Serang Lebih dari 1 Juta Ponsel

Karena penggunaan manusia yang belakangan ini sangat banyak yang memmakai Handphone maka wajar timbul gangguan Virus. Virus "Zombie" yang bisa mentransmisikan dari ponsel ke ponsel, seperti dalam film, gigitan zombie yang mengubah manusia menjadi orang mati berjalan.

Virus melekat pada aplikasi keamanan, yang kemudian mentransmisikan rincian kartu SIM pengguna ke server yang dikontrol oleh sekelompok kecil hacker. Para hacker akan mengirim pesan atau membuat panggilan telepon yang berisi link-link ditunggangi-virus untuk games dan software, kata CCTV.

Tahun 2013 Hancurnya Sistem Data Mobile

Pertama kita akan sulit mengunduh video dalam YouTube. Selanjutnya beralih ke Twitter, dan ternyata ini pun lamban. Anda lalu menoleh email, dan ternyata, lagi-lagi "loading"-nya lama banget. ini semua terjadi ketika jaringan telepon seluruh dunia ambruk. Bulan-bulan berikutnya, kita bahkan bertambah sulit untuk sekedar menelepon. Ini tiga tahun lagi dari sekarang, tiga tahun menuju masa kehancuran pertama jaringan telepon mobil. Selamat datang di tahun 2013!

Asumsi ini memang hanya skenario terburuk, tetapi macet totalnya jaringan komunikasi internet di masa dekat nanti memang amat mungkin terjadi. Ponsel pintar yang banyak melahap data, adalah sumber dari masalah ini.

Jaringan komunikasi yang masuk melalui ponsel pintar telah melebihi kapasitasnya karena sibuk menerima dan mengirimkan web pages, email, dan video streaming, 24 jam sehari tanpa henti.
Jika penggunaan perangkat-perangkat canggih seperti itu kian meluas, maka jaringan telpon di seluruh dunia akan macet total pada 2013.

Ramai bin Padat

Laiknya jalan raya, jalur komunikasi bebas hambatan hanya untuk menghindari terlalu padatnya lalu lintas komunikasi. Teknologi 3G dewasa ini bisa mengirimkan data 1 bit per detik per 1 Hertz dari potongan spektrum gelombang yang dimiliki masing-masing operator.

Itu artinya, menara BTS yang menggunakan sepasang potongan spektrum gelombang 5 MHz bisa mentransmisikan hanya 6 megabyte data per detik. Macetnya jaringan seluler tak bisa diperkirakan satu dekade lalu tatkala jaringan 3G belumlah tercipta.

Saat itu, pengguna ponsel pintar hanyalah para eksekutif perusahaan lewat BlackBerry mereka, dan jaringan 3G tidak banyak dimanfaatkan oleh mereka.Kini itu tak terjadi lagi. Modem-modem nirkabel, mempersibuk lalu lintas data sejak diperkenalkan lima tahun lalu.

Kemudian pada 2007, Apple meluncurkan iPhone yang kini sudah terjual 50 juta unit. Tiba-tiba saja, muka-muka baru berseliweran melintasi jalur lalu lintas komunikasi seluler, dan semuanya merampas badan jalur kamunikasi yang telah ada. Misal, satu video streaming akan menyita "bandwidth" yang dipakai untuk 100 panggilan telepon.

Akibatnya, jalur 3G kini menjadi terlalu padat, khususnya di kota-kota besar di mana banyak orang menggunakan ponsel pintar. Dan saat itu operator telepon seluler akan dibanjiri oleh gelombang keluhan dari pelanggan.

Kemacetan seperti itu tampaknya akan menjadi biasa, menyusul semakin tingginya penggunaan ponsel pintar. Di Amerika saja, lebih dari 1,5 juta iPhone 4 --versi terakhir ponsel pintar produk Apple-- ludes terjual pada peluncuran perdananya Juni lalu. Sementara ponsel-ponsel berbasis Android buatan Google, kian digemari orang.

Menyusul semakin bertambah banyaknya pengguna ponsel pintar, lalu lintas komunikasi mobil akan meningkat dua kali lipat setiap tahun selama empat tahun ke depan, demikian prediksi perusahaan komputer Cisco.

Itu artinya, kemacetan yang waktu ini terjadi kadang-kadang saja, akan sama sekali macet total di masa mendatang, khususnya di kerumuman-kerumunan besar seperti pada ajang pertandingan olah raga di olimpiade. Sebenarnya ini juga sering terjadi ketika masa mudik terjadi, dimana di pedesaan tidak tersedia BTS yang mencukupi sedangkan orang bawa ponsel dari kota ke desa bertambah berlipatlipat, sehingga semua itu diatasi dengan BTS mobile.

"Jika jumlah kendaraan di jalan bebas hambatan meningkat empat kali tanpa ada jalur tambahan maka segala sesuatunya akan melambat," kata Christopher Guttman-McCabe, Wakil Presiden CTIA - The Wireless Association, Washington DC, membuat analagi.

Oleh karena itu, demikian Christopher, "Kita memerlukan banyak jalur tambahan." Dengan cara begitu, potongan-potongan spektrum gelombang 5 MHz yang digunakan operator telepon mobil pada transmiter-transmiter mereka, harus dialihkan.

Namun sebelum ini dilakukan, pemerintah mesti membujuk dahulu para operator seluler untuk memanfaatkan jalur-jalur yang belum penuh digunakan. Ini karena kebanyakan spektrum gelombang 400 MHz dan 3 GHz telah digunakan oleh militer, stasiun televisi, dan komunikasi satelit.

Maka kini adalah saatnya untuk merundingkan lagi pembagian "bandwidth" seperti mengubah sistem analog pada pembuatan video di televisi, menjadi beralih ke teknologi digital.

Militer AS dan Inggris yang menggunakan spektrum gelombang luas, mesti membagi penguasaan spektrum gelombangnya itu. Di AS sendiri, Komisi Komunikasi Pemerintah, mengamini rekomendasi ini dengan menyatakan potongan gelombang 500 MHz yang saat ini dikuasai ekslusif oleh militer, menjadi terbuka juga untuk pengguna ponsel.

Sementara otoritas komunikasi Inggris, Ofcom, berencana merealokasikan hampir 300 MHz untuk sejumlah jaringan seluler. Sayangnya, reformasi pita jaringan itu harus menunggu satu sampai sepuluh tahun lagi. Sepertinya harus dipercepat….. :>
