Di sela-sela Consumer Electronic Show (CES) pada 6-9 Januari 2011 lalu di Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Amerika Serikat, LSM lingkungan tersebut mengumumkan hasil penilaiannya. Produk-produk elektronik yang dinilai oleh Greenpeace meliputi komputer desktop, notebook, netbook, monitor, ponsel, ponsel pintar, dan televisi. Seluruh produk yang terlibat dalam survei bernama "Green Electronic Survey" ini tersedia dalam kuartal pertama tahun 2011.

Renee Blanchard, Greenpeace International Toxics Campaigner, menyebutkan bahwa ada kemajuan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Meskipun demikian, Greenpeace menganggap masih banyak yang harus dilakukan.

"Produsen membuat produk yang bebas bahan kimia paling beracun, efisien dalam penggunaan energi, dan mudah didaur ulang," ujarnya. "Kami berharap inovasi terus dilanjutkan dengan standar yang lebih tinggi," lanjut Blanchard.

Dilansir melalui Ubergizmo, Selasa (18/1/2011), Pegatron ditargetkan untuk mengapalkan sekira 12 juta hingga 15 juta unit ponsel CDMA tahun ini ke seluruh dunia. Pegatron sendiri merupakan salah satu manufaktur perangkat terbesar di dunia.
