MEMBUAT PABRIK PONSEL DI INDONESIA

Ada sebuah harapan untuk bisa mengenalkan produk hasil putra Indonesia yaitu pembuatan Ponsel 100% dari Indonesia. Ingat Pangsa pasar Indonesia untuk Ponsel sangat besar. Tak hanya dengan produk-produk pabrikan besar luar negeri, produsen ponsel lokal juga harus berebut pasar dengan sesama merek lokal. Tak heran jika saat ini banyak produsen handset ponsel lokal gencar melakukan promosi untuk menarik pembeli. Selain menggunakan media masa, baik cetak maupun elektronik, mereka juga menggandeng dunia pendidikan.

Seperti yang dilakukan produsen ponsel merek IMO, PT Konten Indomedia Pratama. Produsen handset yang banyak menyasar segmen pasar C, D, dan E ini telah bekerja sama dengan sejumlah perguruan tinggi dan sekolah untuk memasarkan produknya, baik ponsel maupun PC tablet.
Sarwo Wiguno Wargono, Presiden Direktur PT Konten Indonesia Pratama, mengatakan, pihaknya telah menggandeng Universitas Gunadarma dan Bina Sarana Informatika (BSI). "Ke depan, kami juga akan menggandeng universitas lain, seperti ITB, ITS, dan UI," tambahnya.
Ketika pemain ponsel merek lokal memutuskan untuk memindahkan pabrik manufaktur ponsel ke Bandung, Jawa Barat, banyak harapan yang ingin dikemukakan. Banyak peluang diharapkan dalam membangun sebuah ekosistem usaha manufaktur berbasis kemampuan anak bangsa.
Sebagai produk manufaktur, ponsel seperti IMO B9800 sekilas menampilkan produk Blackberry Torch buatan RIM asal Kanada. Ponsel cerdas merek lokal ini masih diproduksi di China, memiliki dual SIM card, bisa menayangkan siaran TV, dan memiliki aplikasi jejaring digital sosial, mulai Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, hingga Twitter.
Wujud kerja sama yang mereka jalin adalah dengan mengirim mahasiswa ke pabrik produksi IMO di China untuk merakit dan mengembangkan handset-nya sesuai dengan keinginan dan imajinasi mereka. Nantinya produk hasil pengembangan mahasiswa itu akan diperkenalkan ke perguruan tinggi masing-masing untuk kemudian dijual ke mahasiswa.
Tak hanya memproduksi handset, nantinya mahasiswa yang dikirim ke China juga akan mengembangkan aplikasi pendidikan yang memudahkan mahasiswa dan dosen dalam proses belajar-mengajar. "Ada aplikasi khusus sehingga bahan-bahan ajar dan tutorial bisa dimasukkan di sana," ujarnya.
I Made Wiryana, Koordinator Kerjasama Luar Negeri Universitas Gunadarma, berharap, mahasiswanya tidak hanya belajar, tetapi juga mampu merakit produk berkualitas kelas dunia. "Mahasiswa kami akan menjadi techno entreprenur," tambah Made.
Sebanyak 16 mahasiswa teknologi informasi dan teknologi elektro tingkat akhir akan berangkat ke China. Mereka akan belajar mendesain, menguji produk, dan menciptakan sebuah produk ponsel. "Mereka mulai berangkat pada Juni nanti dan belajar selama 4 bulan," katanya. Semua mahasiswa tidak akan dikenai biaya dan mendapatkan beasiswa penuh. Semoga menghasilkan sesuai yang diinginkan bangsa ini dan bisa ditiru oleh Universitas lainnya di Indonesia.

Bagi IMO, selain untuk meningkatkan brand awarness mereka di mata mahasiswa, program ini juga diharapkan bisa menjembatani jurang antara dunia pendidikan dan kebutuhan dunia industri, terutama yang berhubungan dengan telekomunikasi.
Terlebih, dalam waktu dekat perusahaan ini akan memindahkan line produksi handset-nya dari China ke dalam negeri dengan menggandeng perusahaan BUMN, PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) Persero

HT G30 - Ponsel facebook

HT Mobile merilis ponsel dengan kemampuan akses ke layanan facebook. Aplikasi facebook yang terbenam merupakan aplikasi Java sebenarnya bisa diinstal ke ponsel berplatform Java. Sementara, untuk akses ke portal jejaring sosial tersebut tetap saja melalui link mobile-nya (m.facebook.com).

HT G30 mengandalkan GPRS class 12. Namun, performanya masih terbilang lambat dan kurang lancar. Apalagi, jika sinyal GPRS operator yang digunakan pun lemot, Alhasil jangan harap bisa online dengan nyaman. Karena tak mendukung kemampuan multitasking, otomatis si pengguna tak bisa terus-terusan online. Baik facebook, maupun chatting-nya.

Namun, dengan harga yang terjangkau ditambah disainnya yang lumayan oke (mirip Nokia E71), HT G30 bakal jadi alternatif ponsel facebook merk lokal yang cukup direkomendasikan. Selain itu, konsep keypadnya yang full QWERTY juga menambah daya tarik tersendiri. Meski model tutsnya yang terbilang mungil, namun komposisi dan tekstur bahan yang digunakan terasa enak dan nyaman ditekan.

HT G30 juga menawarkan fitur Dual On GSM dengan dua tombol call di jajaran keyboard, untuk memudahkan komunikasi. Layar TFT 2.2 inci-nya cukup jernih dan baik dalam menampilkan hasil jepretan kamera VGA, termasuk hasil rekam video berformat avi.
Ponsel ini juga menanamkan magic sound yang bisa digunakan untuk merubah suara saat bertelpon. Aksesnya bisa untuk kedua kartu SIM. Ada juga fitur Anti maling (Anti Theft), namun cuma bisa dinikmati kartu SIM 1.

Bagi kamu yang maniak game, HT G30 juga menyisipkan beberapa buah game termasuk emulator NES. Untuk organisernya, ada penanda waktu Sholat (Islam Pray) dan sarana standar lain. Seperti kebanyakan ponsel merk lokal, HT G30 juga membenamkan fitur E-book reader. Namun, format file yang bisa dibaca hanya yang berekstensi .txt (biasanya Notepad).
Soal kemampuan multimedia, tentunya tak perlu diragukan lagi. Player musik yang tertanam bisa menjalankan file audio berformat MP3, AAC, AAC+ dan WAV, yang bisa diakses langsung dari kartu memori dengan kapasitas yang bisa diekspansi hingga 16GB.
Radio FM yang ada, menyediakan 30 channel kosong untuk menyimpan gelombang siaran favorit. Kemampuan merekam siaran berita juga dimiliki fitur radio HT G30. Hasil rekamnya bisa langsung dijadikan nada dering, atau nada alarm.
Yang terakhir adalah kemampuan baterai. Sumber powernya berasal dari baterai lithium ion 1000 mAh (standar), yang mampu bertahan selama 2 harian untuk standby. Namun, jika digunakan untuk browsing dan menikmati sarana multimedianya, otomatis bakal merosot drastis.

Skype Jadi Milik Google atau Facebook ? ini rumor paling gress dan akan membuat perubahan diblantika dunia Internet. Skype yang menunda penjualan saham perdana kabarnya kini menjadi rebutan dua raksasa internet, yakni Facebook dan Google. Seorang sumber mengungkapkan, Chief Executive Facebook Mark Zuckerberg sedang membahas pembelian Skype dengan kalangan internal. Namun, sumber lainnya membisikkan, Facebook akan mengajak Skype untuk berpatungan.

Sumber lainnya mengatakan, Google juga telah bicara dengan Skype. Situs pencari terbesar ini berniat melakukan kerja sama dengan Skype. Jika kesepakatan itu tercapai, maka nilai transaksinya bisa 3 miliar dollar AS hingga 4 miliar dollar AS. Nilai ini lebih tinggi dari target penjualan saham perdana Skype yang diperkirakan mencapai 1 miliar dollar AS.

Dua sumber lainnya mengatakan, pembicaraan pembelian Skype ini masih dalam tahap awal. Facebook dan Google sendiri menolak berkomentar. Pada Agustus lalu, Skype telah mengajukan izin untuk go public. BlackBerry World Conference yang akan berlangsung di Orlando, Florida, AS, 3-5 Mei 2011, Research In Motion (RIM) mengumumkan model smartphone terbarunya, Bold 9900 dan 9930. Kedua model yang identik untuk jaringan berbeda. Model 9900 untuk GSM, sedangkan 9930 untuk CDMA. Bentuknya mirip seri Bold lainnya. Namun, tidak hanya menggunakan keypad QWERTY, BlackBerry ini juga berlayar sentuh.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 dan 9930 juga menjadi smartphone pertama yang akan menggunakan sistem operasi BlackBerry 7. Bentuknya mirip dengan seri Bold pada umumnya, tetapi lebih tipis karena hanya setebal 10,5 mm atau model smartphone BlackBerry paling tipis sejauh ini.

"Smartphone BlackBerry Bold terbaru dan BlackBerry 7 OS terinspirasi jutaan konsumen di seluruh dunia yang ingin kombinasi terbaik pada kinerja, fungsi, dan gaya," kata Mike Lazaridis, Co-CEO RIM, dalam siaran persnya, Senin (2/5/2011).
Sistem operasi BlackBerry 7 menyediakan pengalaman baru untuk menambah kemudahan dan kepuasan pengguna. Misalnya, browsing lebih kencang, terdapat tambahan fitur pencarian dengan suara, bisa mengatur konten pribadi dan korporat secara terpisah, serta bisa mengatur aplikasi personal dengan aplikasi kantor demi keamanan data-data yang sensitif.

Aplikasi browser-nya diperbarui dengan fitur Liquid Graphics yang menyediakan proses rendering lebih cepat, panning dan zooming lebih enak, dan compiler JIT (just in time) JavaScript terbaru yang membuat situs web terbuka lebih cepat. Browser-nya juga sudah mendukung elemen HTML5 lebih banyak dan HTML5 video.
Kemampuan kinerjanya didukung prosesor baru dengan 1,2 GHz. Koneksinya juga sudah mendukung jaringan 4G. Selain itu, keduanya sudah dilengkapi chip NFC (near field communication) untuk mengantisipasi sistem transaksi masa depan. Bold 9900 dan 9930 juga sudah dilengkapi magnetometer (kompas built in) untuk mendukung layanan berbasis lokasi dan augmented reality. Kameranya bisa merekam video HD 720p.
